    Nick Waterlow OAM (1941–2009) curator, writer and historian. Waterlow was director of the Ivan Dougherty Gallery in Sydney, Australia from 1991-2009. He was a senior lecturer in COFA's School of Art History and Art Education, and was on the editorial board of the Art & Australia magazine. Waterlow was artistic director of the Biennale of Sydney in the years 1979, 1986, 1988, chaired the International Selection Committee in 2000 and served on the Board from 1994–2005. He also curated the 1979, 1986 and 1988 Biennale of Sydney exhibitions at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. From 1980–83, he was the Director of the Visual Arts Board of the Australia Council.
