  Autograph letter, from Élisabeth de Freycinet to her son Henri de Freycinet, sent from Freycinet [family château], 2 November 1817 (3 pages on a single folded sheet, with Laage archive stamp, Dossier 190-2), commenting on Henri’s and her own reaction to Rose joining Louis on the Uranie, the fact that the Barillon family and Rose’s mother approved of the plan, and the malice in the way the press spoke of it. She concludes with family news.
