  Autograph letter signed, from [Cyrille Pierre Théodore] Laplace to Henri de Freycinet, sent from Paris, 14 August 1835 (1 page on a single folded sheet, watermarked J. Whatman 1833, with Laage archive stamp, Dossier 209 8-A), annotated by Henri de Freycinet that he replied on 20 August. Draft reply from Henri de Freycinet in a clerk’s hand with a few corrections by Freycinet [left-sloping] (3 pages on two sheets, watermarked L P & F 1829, with Laage archive stamp, Dossier 209 8-B) Paris. Laplace’s letter was evidently accompanied by the final two volumes of his account of the voyage of the Favorite.
