Mrs Don Nicol, also known as ‘Nicki’, was possibly born in Denmark in the late 19th century. She married Don Nicol and lived in Australia until her death in approximately 1987 in the Salvation Army Nursing Home in Marrickville. She lived for a period in the Commodore Private Hotel in Kings Cross after Don’s death.

Don Nicol (1906-1949) was a stage actor and comedian who was popular in Australia from the 1920s to the 1940s. During his career he performed under contract to J.C. Williamson and worked closely with Gladys Moncrieff and E.J. Tait.
