Papers of Louis de Freycinet comprising 23 documents, including three with Laage archive stamps. They include Louis de Freycinet’s retained copy of his proposal for the Uranie expedition, working notes for the volumes on Magnetism and Meteorology for the official voyage account, and papers concerning remaining publication costs. Other manuscripts include draft articles for the journal ‘Annales maritimes et coloniales’ and notes for an obituary or biography of his brother Henri de Freycinet.
