  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    On the 11 September 2020 a development application was lodged with the City of Sydney for demolition works and construction of a mixed use development on the site of the Bourbon Hotel, Kings Cross. Local resident John Moyle asked artist Peter Bainbridge to design a poster to protest this development. This poster was subsequently printed and pasted up in and around the Kings Cross area.

    Peter Bainbridge is an Australian artist, illustrator, photographer, and fashion designer. His photography has been featured in international and local magazines, and he has worked on advertising campaigns for a number of international brands. As a fashion designer and along with partner Rose Borg they were involved in several group exhibitions during their careers. Peter and Rose were awarded a series of grants and commissions by The National Art Gallery of Australia Canberra, The Australian Gallery of New South Wales, Crafts Board Council New South Wales, The Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, and represented Australia in 200 years of Australian Decrotive Arts 1788 - 1988 at The National Art Gallery of Australia Canberra
