  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Isobel Marion Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968), writer and poet, was born in Sydney to Sir Charles Kinnaird Mackellar and Marion Buckland. Her literary works include 'My country' and 'Outlaw's luck'. Mackellar was a founding member of the Sydney P.E.N. (Publishers, Editors and Novelists) Club in 1931, and appointed Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) just before her death in 1968.
