    Lee Lewis started as an actor in regional theatre, New South Wales. After completing a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) at the University of Sydney, she moved to New York and completed a Master in Fine Arts (Acting) at Columbia University and worked on and off Broadway as an actor. She returned to Australia in 2001 and was the first person to complete a Masters of Fine Arts (Directing) from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA), 2005. Lewis was the Artistic Director at the Griffin Theatre Company, 2012-2019, and then appointed Artistic Director at Queensland Theatre in 2019.

    Martin Portus studied acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in the 1970s and worked as an actor in theatre and television in Sydney and Adelaide. He later worked as an arts broadcaster on ABC Radio National and returned to acting in 2011.
