    Archibald Windeyer and his brother Charles bought a sheep station in the New England region in 1839 and called it Deepwater. Oswald Bloxsome had explored and selected land in New England in 1838. He also owned land in Sydney, notably “The Rangers”, Mosman which he built in the early 1840s.

    Bound volume inscribed on spine, 'Forbes Year 2019, by Peter E. S. King' containing: typed detailed entries dated 1 January-31 December 2019; The Anglican Church in Central and Western New South Wales Diocese of Bathurst newsletter, 4 July 2019; 2 printed photographs of the Forbes Police Station staff, 2018; newspaper clippings relating to events in Forbes, New South Wales; and emails from 'Merran' and Dick Adams. Also included is part of a letter to Oswald Bloxsome from Archibald Windeyer, relating to prices of wheat, ration flour and seed wheat, with extracts from his journal, 11 June, 17, 25, 29 July, 1, 2, 10 August, 1839.
