Emanuel Comino AM was born in Rockhampton, Queensland in 1933. His father arrived in Australia 1911 at 11 years old from Kythera, and his uncle arrived in 1860-70 in Queensland. Mr. Comino was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the Australia Day 1985 Honours List for his service to the Greek community.
