  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

Dalton's Royal Photographic Gallery was one of the names for the studio run by Edwin Dalton from 1858 until the mid-1860s. By 1865 he had sold his business, which continued to operate under his name, and returned to England.

William Bradley was a painter and professional photographer who worked in various businesses and locations in Sydney in the second half of the nineteenth century. He joined Edwin Dalton's George Street studio in late 1858. In 1867 he claimed he had been 'for 6 years sole photographer at Dalton’s’.
