    Linda Rudd grew up in Hobartville in Richmond, north west of Sydney, and is the fourth generation of the Peel family to live in Batlow. Linda has worked in a range of nursing positions in country and metropolitan NSW for over 27 years.

    Matthew Rudd grew up in Jannali, in south Sydney, NSW. Matthew did a tool making course at TAFE at Ultimo, worked in the trade for 5 years and went on to work in the police force in 1994. Matthew worked in the Riot Squad for almost twenty years and went to many bushfires over his 23 years as a police officer.

    Linda and Matthew Rudd have been the publicans of the Batlow Hotel since 2017.
