Darryl Watkins grew up on his family's orchard in Batlow. He now manages Seven Spring’s orchard in Batlow and also helps his brothers run their family fruit growing and cattle properties. Darryl joined the Batlow Rural Fire Service 38 years ago and has been Captain of the Batlow RFS brigade for over four years. Darryl travelled 3,500 kilometres over 19 days fighting fires in the Batlow area during December 2019 and January 2020.
