    Denis Brown was born in 1947 the son of Keith and Margaret Brown. He worked as a commercial fisherman and is the current owner of a shack at Burning Palms, Royal National Park, New South Wales.

    In an interview with Edie Swift, Denis Brown speaks about the shack his family own at Burning Palms in the Royal National Park, New South Wales and the lifestyle enjoyed by the beach side community. Denis describes the shack and surrounding area and what it was like to grow up holidaying with his parents and siblings in what was a thriving community of families with children. He discusses his commitment to landcare in the region, the legal steps taken to gain heritage status for Burning Palms, and the continued importance of the shack to his family and friends, in particular his mother.
