  • Scope and Content
    In the fourth of four interviews, Sydney-born theatre, opera, film and television director, Neil Armfield speaks about developing and producing his film 'Holding the Man' and recalls coming out as gay to his family shortly after the death of his eldest brother. He discusses his operatic productions of 'The Magic Flute' in Chicago and Brett Dean's 'Hamlet' for Glyndebourne, directing David Hare's 'I'm Not Running' with the National Theatre, London, 'The Long Forgotten Dream' at the Sydney Theatre Company and his return to the Belvoir Theatre.
    Neil also speaks about his current role as co-artistic director of the Adelaide Festival with Rachel Healy and how the recent court cases have impacted sexual protocols in the industry.
