  • Scope and Content
    In the third of four interviews, Sydney-born theatre, opera, film and television director, Neil Armfield continues to discuss his career and various projects including the 1999 indigenous production of 'As You Like It' with Deborah Mailman and Bob Masa and his film 'Candy' which he co-wrote with Luke Davis.
    He speaks about directing plays by Stephen Sewell, Steve Martin, Michael Gow and David Hare, his restaging in New York of 'Exit the King' with Geoffrey Rush and Susan Sarandon and the revival of 'The Diary of a Madman' with Yael Stone and Geoffrey Rush.
    Neil also speaks about staging Wagner's 'Ring' for Opera Australia in Melbourne in 2013 and Andrew Bivell's 'The Secret River'.
