  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Rex Frederick Jackson (1928 – 2011) was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1955 to 1986. While Minister of Corrective Services he was charged with conspiracy to corrupt. He was found guilty of conspiring to organise the early release of prisoners and sentenced to ten years imprisonment, which he served in Berrima Gaol. He was released in 1989 after three years and went into business selling ice-cream and hot dogs from a van at Stanwell Tops.
