  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Robert Evans (b. 1937) is a minister of the Uniting Church and served as a
    circuit minister until his retirement in 1998. Evans was born in Sydney, and graduated from the University of Sydney where he majored in philosophy and modern history. He is also an amateur astronomer and holds the all-time record for visual discoveries of supernovae. In 1988 he was awarded the OAM for contributions to science, particularly astronomy, involving observations and discoveries of
    supernovae in other galaxies.
