Sydney Uni Gay Lib was a collective formed in 1972 during the early days of the Australian gay rights movement aiming to change society's treatment and views of homosexuals. The group split from Campaign Against Moral Persecution Inc (CAMP Inc.).

The Tin Shed Art Works was an experimental art workshop based at University of Sydney, established in 1969. During the 1970s, Sydney Uni Gay Lib used the Tin Shed for making silk-screen posters and handbills and other visual material for their various events, including political demonstrations and fund-raising dances.

Garry Wotherspoon was an academic of University of Sydney and former New South Wales History Fellow. He was awarded Australia’s Centenary of Federation medal for his work as an academic, researcher, and human rights activist.
