Edgar Ford (1901?-1982], geographer, cartographer and teacher, worked in the cartographical and geographical section of the Australian Army’s Directorate of Research from 1942-1945, producing maps for the Australian troops in the Northern Territory. He wrote many books on physical, graphic and political geography, including secondary school text books written in collaboration with Brock Rowe.
James Brock Rowe (1910-1995), geographer and teacher was awarded the Dwight Prize for his work on geographical education. He pioneered geography courses at Sydney Teachers College and the University of New South Wales and was closely associated with the Geographical Society of New South Wales.
