  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Lawrence Collings (1910-1993) studied art in Brisbane, Sydney and London in the 1930s and began studying photography at St Martins College of Art, London. Collings was as a photographer during World War I with the Royal Australian Air Force. He began documentary filmmaking from the 1950s, and also worked as an art director at George Patterson advertising agency, Sydney, 1955-1970.
