    John Simeon Pierson Ramsay (1884-1981) was the son of Dr Edward Pearson Ramsay, the curator of the Australian Museum from 1874-1894. J.S.P. Ramsay adopted bird photography as a hobby and became one of Australia’s leading bird photographers. He also established a photographic business, Ramsay Photo Works, in 1925. The company ceased trading in June 1970.
