    Photographs of Barry Humphries taken for an article published in the October 16, 1965 edition of Pix magazine.

    The majority of the photographs show Humphries performing in his one person show 'Excuse I : Another nice night's entertainment' at the Comedy Theatre, Melbourne.

    In addition to Dame Edna Everage, Humphries is shown performing in character as an 'avant-garde crafty type' Neil Singleton, a 'beer-guzzling surfer' and a public relations person, working for Robert Menzies and Arthur Calwell, per the description the characters in the Pix Magazine article.

    Humphries in also shown, dressed in character as Dame Edna Everage and posing outside a Melbourne mixed grocery store at 850 Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn

    Humphries is photographed with his family, in the living room of his home in the Melbourne suburb of Camberwell. Humphries is posed with his wife, Rosalind, his children, Tessa and Emily, and the family's nurse, Dominque Pessotti.
