    Anni Turnbull, Curator at the State Library of New South Wales, recorded this interview with Robin Dalton in June 2017 while in London.

    Robin Dalton was born Robin Eakin in Sydney on December 22 1920, and grew up in Kings Cross, Sydney until 1946 when she moved to London. Dalton became a literary agent for writers such as Joan Collins, Arthur Miller, Iris Murdoch, and Tennessee Williams; and film makers such as Laurence Olivier and Peter Weir. She has been producer for films such as Emma's War (1987), Madame Sousatzka (1988), Country Life (1994) and Oscar and Lucinda (1997). In 2013 Dalton was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) "for significant service to the film industry as a producer, literary agent and author, and as a mentor to emerging actors and writers". Her memoirs include Aunts Up the Cross (1965) and One Leg Over (2017).
