Audience Motivation was established in 1972 by David Beal, who was an editorial photographer, and Dawn Beal. They were inspired by the emerging audio-visual media of projected slides synchronised with narration and music. Their first event was a product launch for Bacardi. By the early 1990s, the company was producing entire conference program content including sourcing guest speakers and entertainment, and installation projects for museums, international expositions, trade fairs and other events. Audience Motivation was also involved in several projects for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. By the early 2000s, multi-media technology was changing rapidly and the decision was made to close the business.
