The sonnet ‘Johnny Fawkner’s Press’ first appeared in the Australasian Printers’ Keepsake (1885) and was reprinted on the Fawkner press by A.R. Turnbull in 1942 for the Fawkner Sesquicentenary.

At the bottom is written ‘Inscribed by A.R. Turnbull, 1943’ and ‘To The Right Honorable Sir Isaac A. Isaacs, P.C., G.C.B, G.C.M.G., K.C. and Lady Isaacs’.
