  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    David Scott was employed by Hudson Bros Limited ca. 1880s-1893 as a finance clerk. He also photographed the company’s “railway carriages, wagons & general machineries, together with many views of various portions of our works at Clyde”. The company commended “the excellent quality & finish of the work” (information from Hudson Bros letter dated 7.2.1893). A keen amateur photographer, Scott was awarded First Class Honours in photography from Sydney Technical College in 1887.
