  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    The Deadly Awards, also known as The Deadlys, began in 1995 as an informal celebration and awards night for Indigenous musicians and broadcasters. The event grew to become an annual celebration of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander achievement in music, sport, entertainment and community. From 2001 the event was held at the Sydney Opera House, hosted by Vibe Australia. The final Deadlys Awards event was held in 2013.
