Shannon Mason is an Aboriginal (Yuin nation) photographer originally from Narooma on the NSW south coast and now based in Sydney.

The Djaadjawan Dancers were established in Narooma in 2013 lead by Shannon’s mother - Sharon. The dance group was formed following a women’s culture camp sponsored by Katungal Aboriginal Medical Service and Wagonga Local Aboriginal Land Council. The camp brought Aboriginal women of the Yuin nation together to share cultural knowlege and workshop traditional dance. Yuin cultural camps continue to be held regularly for women and children of the NSW south coast.
