  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    In November 1885 Hagon Brothers, merchant tailors of 162 Pitt Street, tendered successfully to supply uniforms to the Municipal Council of Sydney. By 1905, Hagon Brothers tailors had premises in Pitt Street, Oxford Street and King Street. The Hagon Brothers business was formed into a Limited Company in 1923 with Richard Hagon as managing director.

    Two printed photographic postcards of interior views of R.C. Hagon's Tailoring Establishment, 129 King Street, Sydney. The images show workers and tailors cutting suits from patterns of material, and printed proformas on the versos.

    1. Postmarked Sydney, 10 August 1910 and Broadwater, August 13 1910 and addressed to Mr A. Sommerville, Broadwater, Richmond River.
    2. Postmarked Young, 11 June 1915 and addressed to Mr C. Taylor, Molong.
