John Fowler (Jack) Bruce (1876-1924) was born in Croydon Park, NSW. He was president of the New South Wales Retail Jewellers' Association and co-owned Bruce & Walsh Watchmakers and Jewellers, 502 George Street, Sydney. He married Minnie Williams, whose family lived at Kiama and later Strathfield
