The Sydney chapter of the Gilbert and Sullivan Society was formed in 1928 at a meeting called by Misses Norma, Beryl and Jean Morice. It was chaired by Thomas Walker who moved a motion "that this meeting consider it desirable that a Gilbert and Sullivan Society should be formed.
