Adam Dant was born in 1967 in Cambridge, England and studied at the Liverpool School of Art, the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda Faculty of Fine Arts and the Royal College of Art. In 1995, he created the Donald Parsnips Daily Journal, an art world pamphlet which ran in the Independent until 1999. Dant's highly intricate works on paper explore interconnectedness, subverting the style of 18th century Renaissance artworks and satirical prints, making social commentary on famous places, institutions and events. He currently lives and works in London, England.

1 print by Adam Dant depicting a map of Shorediche, London (now spelled Shoreditch) themed to William Shakespeare. It outlines an area between Golding Lane; Tickle Codpiece Row; Olde Street and Wormwood Street, transected by New Inn Yard and Holywell Lane which still exist today. It illustrates theatres, inns and other public establishments, as well as illustrations of famous figures including Richard Burbage; Christopher Marlowe; Emilia Lanier/Aemilia Bassano (written here as Amelia Bassane/Lanier) and William Shakespeare.
