  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Joseph Check was a travelling photographer and painter. He practised all forms of photography, and used limelight shows and cinematography to attract business. He remained a travelling photographer well into the twentieth century and is known to have visited Gulgong as late as 1928.
