Photographs and items of textual material in this sub-series have been assigned PXA call numbers and are stored separately from the negatives and transparencies which are in cold storage. In some cases the items of textual material accompanying the negatives were discarded. Where this is the case, the record includes a General Note containing a transcription of what was inscribed on the discarded item.

This sub-series contains jobs that have been transferred from the main job number sequence which are assigned job numbers from the main job number sequence. Consequently these job numbers may not be located in Series 3: Negatives arranged by job number.
