Memo to reporting staff September 1940. 16-page memo August 1949 to the Managing Director on administrative problems within the company.
Report May 1965 on conversation with Russian Ambassador, Mr Loginov.
Message to the staff, January 1970 on the occasion of the publication of the first 116-page Sydney Morning Herald.
Copy of message from London office, February 1976 reporting on the obituary published in the Times for Mr James Griffyth Fairfax, son of Mr C.B. Fairfax of Sydney.
Most of the memos and correspondence are for the two-year period 1975-1976 and are between the general manager and the chairman and relate to the day-to-day matters pertaining to the company.
Sir Warwick stepped down as chairman in February 1977 and was replaced by Mr J.O. Fairfax. Sir Warwick remained a director of the company.
The memos addressed to Sir Warwick as a director were matters affecting the company whilst he was on overseas holidays. Also in 1981 there was correspondence about lost or destroyed records that belonged to Sir Warwick.
Other memos refer to expenses incurred by Sir Warwick. In March 1984 Sir Warwick submitted a six-page memo on the Herald's traditions and policies. Attached to it are reports on the memo from Mr J. O. Fairfax as well as the chief editorial executive, M.V. Suich.
Copy of correspondence 1986 with Mr George Herscu of Hooker Corp who had written a letter of complaint to Sir Warwick about articles published in the company's publications.
There is a separate file of newspaper clippings reporting Sir Warwick's death and memorial service. Also copies of the memorial service booklets
