This dispute began at Consolidated Press and prevented publication of the Daily Telegraph. Fairfax and Mirror Newspapers became involved when they attempted to assist Consolidated in the production of the Sunday Telegraph.
The file covers the period February-June 1966 and contains: Statements for the Court Case; copy of Statement made by Honourable R. C. Packer in State Parliament about delay in the availability of a Judge of the Industrial Commission; letters to the union; transcripts of hearings March 14-16; Report of meeting held between the newspaper companies, union and the three newspaper chapels on February 26; transcripts of hearings for April.
