  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

James Garry emigrated from Ireland to New South Wales in 1839. He was involved in the coaching trade before taking up land south-east of Binalong, in the Southern Tablelands. The sheep and wheat property, ‘Mylora’, was built up by his son John Joseph Garry (1840-1923). In the 1950s the property was split between four siblings, with Leon Garry and his wife Bubbles naming their portion ‘Weilora’. ‘Brundah’ property, also in the Binalong area, belonged to Bubbles’ family, the Dwyers.
