The Company Secretary of Associated Newspapers was responsible mainly for finance, compliance and governance-related administrative tasks of the board and organisation. The 48 files in this sub-series reflect that function with records dealing with superannuation, retiring allowance funds, share purchases and transfers, Taxation Figures, Annual Record of Employees in a Factory, statistical factories returns, Commonwealth Statistician - War Census, land tax returns, audited accounts and minutes to meetings./ Some of these records predate the establishment of Associated Newspapers Ltd.
