This series consists primarily of a photograph album that records the unveiling of the plaques to commemorate the centenary of the death of John Fairfax and the transfer of the Caxton head from the premises at Hunter, Pitt, and O'Connell Streets to the Broadway office. The official guests included Sir Roden Cutler, Governor of New South Wales, Lady Cutler and staff, members of the Fairfax family, the General Manager and Assistant General Manager of the Bank of New South Wales and representatives of the Printing and Kindred Industries Union and the Australian Journalists' Association.
Inside the album is a procedure for the ceremonies.
A visitors' book recording the names of the vice-regal party and the Fairfax Family members comprises Series 148.
