These investigations were carried out in June 1975 by Kent, Brierley & Barraclough, Touche Ross & Co chartered accountants who normally audited the accounts of Fairfax and its subsidiaries. The terms of reference were set out in a letter from the Secretary to the investigators on 5 June 1975. Amongst the matters identified for investigation were the acquisition of Land Printers by the Apollo printing group; the Managing Director's relationships with some clients, investments and arrangements, contracts and relationships with the Reed Group. The report on Sungravure was completed on 20 June 1975 and those of the other companies were completed on 25 June.
These copies of the reports and appendices were amongst those made and distributed by the Secretary of John Fairfax and Sons Pty Limited to all of the Sungravure directors
