In January 1930 Associated Newspapers purchased the Daily and Sunday Guardian from Smith's Newspapers Ltd and In February of the same year the company acquired the remaining shares in Daily Telegraph Pictorial Ltd. In 1931 the Daily Guardian and the Daily Pictorial were combined into a new morning newspaper - The Daily Telegraph and the Sunday Guardian and the Sunday Sun were also combined. - Scope and ContentThe Management Committee took decisions relating to the content circulation, advertisements, staffing and received reports in relation to financial circulation and determined all aspects of management.
