- Scope and ContentJohn Fairfax Limited was required to hold an annual general meeting of shareholders and present and annual report as part of that process.
The contents of the reports varied, but the reports contain the following; addresses of registered offices, authorised and subscribed capital, list of directors and major officers, principal subsidiaries, notice of Annual General Meeting, Report of the Board of Directors, balance sheet, statement of assets and liabilities and consolidated profit and loss, photographs. The group structure is shown diagrammatically from 1960 until 1993.
This series ceased in 1987 when John Fairfax Limited was restructured as John Fairfax Holdings Limited. Annual reports did not resume again until 1992 following the change of ownership of the company.
