The Board of Directors of John Fairfax Ltd was established with the incorporation of the company on 9 April 1956. Initially the Board consisted of members of the Fairfax family, with Vincent Charles taking office on 29 April 1956 and James Oswald Fairfax joining on 9 May 1957.
The role of the Board was to make high level decisions for the company and to receive reports in relation to the company and the industry. - Scope and ContentThese notices of meetings and agendas are for the meetings of the Board of John Fairfax Ltd and for the general and extraordinary meetings of shareholders. Attached to the minutes there are often board papers, correspondence or minutes of the previous meeting.
