Pamela Williams (born 1954) is The Australian Financial Review’s writer-at-large. She is an investigative reporter and author of 'The Victory' and 'Killing Fairfax: Packer, Murdoch and the Ultimate Revenge', and has won six Walkley Awards and the Graham Perkin Journalist of the Year Award.
  • Scope and Content
Pamela Williams as the National Correspondent and an Associate Editor of the Australian Financial Review. Her main work is investigative journalism. During the 1996 federal election she was granted exclusive campaign access by the Liberal Party. After the election senior members of the Labor Party agreed to reveal to her the inside story of its failed campaign. The information and insights she gained were published in a book, The victory, in 1997. This material in this collection provides valuable ‘behind the scenes’ information about the 1996 election. Of particular interest are the interviews with some of the main players- politicians and their advisory staff as well as political commentators.
