    F. C. Kennedy (active 1958-1992) was a freelance journalist and television critic. His weekly column 'Looking in with The Viewer' first appeared in 'TV News' magazine on 28 June 1958 and continued with the successor publications 'TV News-Times' and 'TV Times'. Kennedy retired in July 1978.

Nan Musgrove (1912-1991) was raised in Newcastle, Singleton and Wingham following the appointments of her clergyman father, Rev. Percy de Laure Musgrove and his wife Muriel Annie (nee Thacker), being one of four children.

Musgrove worked in Canberra between 1943 to 1946 as a journalist for ‘Truth’ and ‘The Daily Mirror’ newspapers. She is noted in Who’s Who of Australian Women, 1982 as being the first woman roundsman to Federal Parliament, 1943, the first woman journalist to attend Prime Minister’s interviews in Canberra and the first woman secretary in the Press Gallery to Federal Parliament. Between 1947 and 1953 she was magazine editor for Invincible Press.

Musgrove came to prominence as a journalist working for ‘The Australian Women’s Weekly’ as television critic and celebrity interviewer between 1957 and 1976, then news editor between 1976 and 1978. She took up the Australian Consolidated Press post of London editor for the magazine in 1978, becoming the first Australian woman bureau chief in Fleet Street.

Nan resided in Neutral Bay with her companion, F. C. 'Ken' Kennedy. In retirement Nan remained active freelancing, assisting Ita Buttrose at ‘Ita’ magazine. Kennedy and Musgrove were also involved with the Friends of Taronga Zoo, producing the Friends’ newsletter. Nan Musgrove passed away in September 1991.
