    Hilarie Lindsay, businesswoman and author, was born Hilarie Dyson in 1922. She attended Williams Business College, working in several office roles before commencing work at Lindsay's Toy Factory, the family business of her husband Phillip Lindsay, in 1945. She is currently Managing Director of the company and has held many industry positions including Federal and NSW President of the Toy & Games Manufacturers Association. In 1981 she completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at Deakin University, followed by a doctorate at the University of Sydney in 1988. She has also had a distinguished career as an author, publishing many books across a range of genres and was awarded an MBE for services to literature in 1975, and an OAM in 2006.

    Louise Darmody is a journalist, oral historian and producer.
