The Mojo agency was founded in 1975 and soon became the largest locally owned advertising agency in the country. In 1986 it merged with another prominent Australian owned agency, Monahan Dayman Adams, to form Mojo MDA. Anne Coombs spent 10 months with Mojo MDA in 1987 researching Adland.

Papers relating to Coombs' book Adland: a True Story of Corporate Drama (1990), a non-fiction account of the merger of two of Australia’s premier advertising agencies, Mojo and Monahan Dayman Adams. The collection includes individual files on main characters with transcripts of interviews, the author's annotated journal, drafts of the manuscript and correspondence.
