Arthur Syer (fl. c.1885-1900) was an amateur photographer who specialised in candid, unstaged photographs of 19th century everyday people and subjects of Sydney in the 1890s.

Two sets of photographs depicting Sydney street scenes and landscapes. Some of the areas represented include Pyrmont, Mosman, Lavender Bay, Double Bay, Manly, the North Shore as well as central Sydney street scenes.

GROUP 1 (34 photographs).
Scenic views of Sydney landscapes, including 8 stamped photographs by Arthur K. Syer, Includes beaches, wharves, harbour views, yachts, mainly at Milsons Point, Neurtal Bay and Lavender Bay. Housed and residential properties in newly settled suburbs of Sydney, and images of backyard scenes featuring pets and domestic animals.
