    The motion picture ‘The Story of the Kelly Gang’ was first screened in Melbourne in August 1906. These postcards are from a series of 12 which was issued to coincide with the film’s British release in late 1907.

    Four postcards, numbers 2, 3, 6 and 12, from the series ‘The Story of “The Kelly Gang”, the Great Australian Drama’, featuring still photographs from the film. The postcards are inscribed as follows:
